JK Rowling and Others do not validate me as a woman. Kelly is who I am w/o thought. I don’t do things “consciously” or question or need reminding I’m a woman. We as a community and this includes those attracted to us need to stop obsessing on validation from others. When men ask you that question “am I gay” to a trans women, they are looking for the trans woman to validate their straightness. We rely so much on validation from others vs owning who we are and validating our own existence and experiences. I’m an imperfect spokesperson for my community adult and trans, but I try and I speak out on my experience vs others. When I speak on trans topics I stick to being a trans-woman cause that is my experience. I don’t claim to speak for others as a whole.
